Cultural Heritage Photo Library

The Photo Library contains photographs from all over Croatia recording the condition of monuments of culture, mainly architectural, i.e., fixed monuments, and their environment. The primary task of the Photo Library is to document cultural property and support the services engaged in its preservation; however, photographs are equally interesting to historians, historians of art, architects, ethnologists, town planners, archaeologists and other socially oriented professions. The Library contains 35,000 negatives and 54,465 positives; 21,172 photos have been digitised. A selection of digitised photographs is accessible on the web pages of the Ministry.
